Addiction is a disease and requires treatment often times under the supervision of trained professionals. All drug and alcohol addiction is treatable. As with all medical and mental disorders, the success rate is not 100%, but the results are generally better if the addict has a desire to stop abusing substances. Interventions are a useful measure in building that desire. Our trained interventionists will also be the best at placing the addict in a treatment program that fits the addict's needs and personality. When making referrals, our staff takes in many factors such as age, sex, income, religion, and location before predicting which treatment program will be the best match for the addict.

Drug Interventions are important parts of the recovery process, but they are only the first step. This facilitates the entrance of an addict into a treatment program. We connect the addict with comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment at one of our recommended treatment centers which serve exclusively gay and lesbian clientele. Once a treatment program is completed, this too is just the beginning of the road to recovery.

Freedom from drug addiction and alcohol abuse is a lifelong process with many highs and lows. Sometimes there are relapses, when the addict returns to drinking and/or using drugs. During these times it is important to remember that the addict is a sick person who needs help from trained professionals. In order to be successful in recovery the addicts must have a desire not only to remove drugs and alcohol from their lives but also to change everything about themselves that contributes to their addiction, from personal traits to peer groups. Interventionists are skilled at finding and developing this desire, turning it into a strong motivational drive for recovery.
